Asian Beef Lettuce Wraps
Delicious and low-calorie lettuce wraps filled with flavorful ground beef and gluten-free ingredients.
Ingredients
- Ground beef - 1/2 lb
- Lettuce leaves - 8-10 leaves
- Gluten-free soy sauce - 2 tbsp
- Rice vinegar - 1 tbsp
- Garlic, minced - 2 cloves
- Ginger, grated - 1 tsp
- Green onions, chopped - 2 stalks
- Sesame oil - 1 tsp
- Red pepper flakes - 1/2 tsp
- Salt - to taste
- Black pepper - to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned, breaking it into crumbles. This should take about 8-10 minutes.
- While the beef is cooking, mix the soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic, ginger, green onions, sesame oil, and red pepper flakes in a small bowl.
- Once the beef is cooked, drain any excess fat from the skillet. Add the sauce mixture to the skillet and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, stirring to coat the beef.
- Taste and season with salt and black pepper as needed.
- Carefully separate the lettuce leaves to create cups for the filling.
- Spoon the beef mixture into each lettuce cup.
